This kitchen renovation in the Shevington area near Wigan uncovered several unexpected issues once the work began. Rotten floorboards and completely blocked air bricks meant there was no airflow beneath the floor, so the affected boards were replaced and the ventilation fully restored. Fortunately, the joists and main structure were still sound, allowing us to repair only the damaged sections.

      The electrical installation also required upgrading to safely support the new appliances and a powerful induction hob. Once all essential preparation was completed, the room was skimmed, painted and made ready for the kitchen installation.

      The finished kitchen includes new LED lighting on the ceiling and under the wall units, a plinth heater connected to the existing heating system, and composite worktops completed with matching wallboards. Brushed gold trims, taps and socket fronts bring the design together, closely matching the original CAD visualisation.
