Blackburn Newfield drv - Main bathroom renovation
This small bathroom in the Highercroft area of Blackburn was a challenging but rewarding project. With a compact footprint of just 1.7m x 2m, the goal was to redesign the layout so the room felt more practical and comfortable for everyday use.
We reconfigured the space to maximise functionality, including creating a cleverly concealed boiler cupboard — so well integrated that you wouldn’t know it’s there unless we pointed it out. The bathroom was finished with elegant gold fittings and light marble‑effect tiles, giving the room a bright, modern feel despite its limited size.
To save even more space, we installed sliding doors instead of a standard opening. This simple change keeps the room feeling open and accessible, making a noticeable difference in such a compact layout.
In the gallery, you’ll also see the kitchen (check kitchen here) we completed for the same customer. That project included not only the full kitchen installation but also new flooring and all woodwork across the entire downstairs. We even carried out quick skimming on the ceilings to remove the old, dated artex.
Altogether, the full renovation work across both rooms took around six weeks.
Another successful transformation for a returning customer — and a great example of how thoughtful design can make even the smallest bathroom feel stylish and functional.
